For Home Assistant users with solar, a battery or an EV

Schedules for your home energy, worked out for you.

Beesley Energy plans when your battery charges and discharges, when your car charges and when your hot water heats, using your prices, the solar forecast and the limits you set. It runs inside your own Home Assistant.

A$5 a month after a free first month. Start in the app with no card needed. Price includes GST. Australia only for now.

Who it is for

People who already run Home Assistant at home and have solar, a home battery, an EV charger or controllable hot water, set up through integrations they installed themselves.

What it does

It reads the sensors and controls Home Assistant already has, works out a schedule, and sends schedule changes back. On equipment that allows it, it can also change your grid export and import limits, but only within the limits you entered. You can see and change every plan in the free phone app.

What stays with you

Your energy readings, settings, location and car-departure times stay on your own Home Assistant. They are not sent to us.

vPower: virtual breakers

Beesley Energy models your main breaker, including how its limit drops as your switchboard heats up. When the price goes below zero, it draws as much from the grid as that limit allows, into your car, battery and chosen loads, while keeping under it. How vPower works

Honest about the limits

  • It is not a safety or protection device. Your equipment's own protection, your switchboard and your installer's settings do that job without it.
  • Forecasts are estimates. Prices, weather and solar change. We do not promise a particular bill, battery level or car charge.
  • It only works through Home Assistant. It does not connect to your inverter, battery, charger or car directly, and it does not hold your logins to their makers' clouds.
  • It depends on other people's software. Home Assistant and your integrations are made by others and can change. We publish a list of supported equipment; others may work but are not supported.
  • Your network operator still sets the rules. They may limit your export or charging, and Beesley Energy cannot override that.

The phone app

The Beesley Energy app is free on the App Store and Google Play. It signs in to a licence you already have; there is nothing to buy in the app. Licences are sold on this website only.

Beesley Energy works with Home Assistant, which is made by others. It is not part of the Home Assistant project or endorsed by it.
